World Heritage Sites
Updated to include two years of changes in the World Heritage Sites list. World Heritage Sites are designated by UNESCO which judges them under strict criteria with a view to the aim that they reflect the world's cultural and natural diversity and are of outstanding universal value. Sites that no longer meet these criteria are delisted. There are currently 1,073 World Heritage Sites. Review of previous edition: Best Reference 2009.
