It is the year 2042.

For decades, the U.S.S.A. has been gradually absorbed and controlled by a totalitarian global government and an elite class of socialites now rules the world. Amongst it, corrupt career politicians, sycophantic celebrities and educators, sociopathic billionaires with sinister investment strategies, talking parrots of the mainstream media, secret societies' sick senior members, wanton warmongers, and bombastic bureaucrats abuse their unelected and termless governmental positions. Below the acrid new aristocracy, the middle class has nearly disappeared. Furthermore, laws and mandates have become outrageous: almost everyone has been subjected to genetic engineering and computer chipping as part of the world government's effort to dominate mankind, forcing people to purchase expensive products from huge corporations through taxation, products which then violate, manipulate, and even depopulate their buyers.

But steadfast resolve remains amongst those on the opposite side. A furtive force of rebels has cleverly hacked into the cerebral computer chips and their servers through a new type of computer virus; using it first to transmit banned intelligence to the chipped population, and then to permanently disable the devilish devices.

Thinking clearly again is refreshing, but also evokes an urgency in some to resist the government's tyranny, including Jackson and Betsy; they must choose to bend the knee to despots and get rechipped, or risk losing what little freedoms they have -and join the rebellion.
