Born 1972 in a working class neighbourhood on the east side of Baltimore, Chris Stain's stencil work explores inner city life from inside and outside of the individual. His new book Long Story Short examines the architecture of emotion, inspiration and creativity that comprise his artwork and his life. In this aesthetically DIY narrative collection the artist shares writing, letters, photographs, artwork and memorabilia in an attempt to seek out and share the source of his inspiration.
