The plankton study is essential for efficient fisheries management. Today, we have considerable knowledge on the very direct relationship between planktonology and fisheries. A stage has now considerable knowledge on the water quality and the nature of the plankton we can predict what the condition of the fishery in any area is going to be. Limnologists and fish biologists are now in a position to guide the fishermen to areas where good catches can be expected.
