A Cast Shadow is a novel about three kids in the 1800's. They are kidnapped by a dark figure who brings them to an island with other children who are enslaved there. As they steal one of the island's ships and escape back to land, they have adventures and nightmares of the future. The stakes run high with nuclear apocalypse on the horizon.
