The end of the French and Indians War was meant to bring peace in the American colonies. Instead, the decision of the British commander in regards to how the Indians were treated gave rise to a rebellion. Under the leadership of Ottawa chief, Pontiac, various tribes in the Ohio Valley region united in an attempt to force the British back to the other side of the Appalachian Mountains.
