Playing With Fire
“Playing With Fire" is the 14th book in the Inspector Banks series by Peter Robinson. In “Playing With Fire” it is an early morning in January. Suddenly, two narrowboats in the Eastvale canal catch fire. When traces of arson are found at the scene, DCI Banks and DI Annie Cabbot are set on the case. When Banks and Caboot arrive there is not much left of the wreck. On one of the boats was found the human remains of Tina, a drug-fuelled teenager. On the other boat was the human remains of Tom, a lonely artist. All evidence points to deliberate arson. Now, the mission is to find out which one of the two the intended victim was? Several relations of the victims are acting strange and Banks gets suspicious. But suddenly the arsonist strikes again. Peter Robinson's “Playing With Fire” is the sequel to “The Summer That Never Was”. The series about Inspector Banks by Peter Robinson inspired the British television drama DCI Banks.
