She beat a young horse (Usain Colt); a bloomin' fast sheep (Lewis Lambilton); and a pretty darned quick Deer (Doe Farah), but now she faces her greatest challenge. He's mean; he's magnificent; he's the Rooster with the Booster - Lionel Partington the Third !! Doris may be the fastest chicken in the farmyard; but does she have what it takes to be the fastest chicken in the west - or will she fall fowl of Lionel and his lightning feet? Let battle commence!

Doris has won a prize (even if she doesn't manage to beat Lionel) - in the Children's/Young Adult Fiction category at the Writers Digest 90th Annual Writing Competition (2021) ! Great news. Well done Doris !
