This book aims to present the evolution of the beauty standard of women and men from Prehistory to the present time. I will also address diseases that can be found in people who directly or indirectly suffer pressure from society to achieve a certain standard of beauty. Finally, I will provide some of the main therapeutic approaches for these cases and I will also talk about the importance of being in charge of our mind, and not the other way around, that is, the importance of being in charge of our mind and not being slaves to our own emotions.
