Rebekah Stoltzfus comely Old Order Amish widow in Paradise, PA innocently hires Bob Livingston to help her son plant corn on her 20-acre riverfront farm. He is actually a land developer, coveting her waterfront property for development. They fall in love, much to the chagrin of Rebekah's possessive minister, also a widow, who had planned to offer her his good name in marriage.
