These are poems inspired by the art and life story of the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo de Rivera, born Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo y Calder n. Frida found her passion for painting after a terrible accident left her prostrated in bed for several months. She painted mostly self-portraits, and her style was Surrealism or Magical Realism. Stefanie's poems are the inspiration of her musings on Frida Kahlo and her tumultuous relationship with the Mexican painter Diego Rivera.
