This is lesson book number three of a series dedicated to each aspect of tatting as it is learned by a beginner. As such it is a continuation of lesson books one and two that deal with double stitches in chains and with picots and joins, respectively. Lesson book three deals with the subject of rings. These are what most people think of when they think of tatted lace. Above all, lesson three will challenge the student to break away from the signals of the two-color method. This will test ones understanding of the double stitch, picots and joins, carrying practice a step forward, by applying what is known to a new theme, the iconic ring of tatted lace.
