Nika
A musical journey.

Every good human deserves victory in their life. Nika means to be victorious, and that is what Kassia and Nikephoros must achieve in their battle of life's hardships.

When Kassia's teacher Boethius is executed by Theodoric the Great, she seeks refuge in the Byzantine capital city of Constantinople. Her desire to compose alternative music is diminished as the empire demands its citizens only to listen to Byzantine music. Misery becomes her best friend after her souteneur imprisons her and makes her his sex slave. One of her many regrets is when she didn't listen to her friend Empress Theodora's advice not to marry him.

Nikephoros is one of the wealthiest silk merchants in the Byzantine Empire. He has hidden his passion for composing music from his family, and whenever he has the opportunity, he creates music in his studio.

Both Kassia and Nikephoros need a savior to be set free.
