Motivated by her own experiences with a difficult childhood, drug abuse, and ultimate victory through Jesus Christ, Ashley tells this story in hopes that others will be inspired in their similar struggles. Her protagonist now clean from crack cocaine, revisits her abusive past throughout the novel in deft melding of old scars and present consequences. This moving story promotes letting go of the past and accepting healing in all its various forms.
