Hereditary
Christopher Mathews was born in the early 20th century in Durham North Carolina. His ambition to succeed, and his hunger for power would lead him to become the first African American Admiral in the US Navy, and a very powerful man. Like many people he became corrupted by that power, and money became his objective. They say the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree, and his sons Thomas and Francis (Easy) don't hesitate to follow in dad's footsteps. When the bloodline is mixed with foreign elements, like money, the family tree can't continue to grow. Father, son, and brothers become enemies and death is the only cure for this sickness. Survival becomes the name of the game, and the best man may not win. A generation later Horus, Easy's son, and Jeffrey, Thomas' son, meet and connect in a way their fathers never had. They build a strong family bond, but like in the past something threatens to burn down this family tree that took so long to grow. Somebody is trying to kill Horus, but he and Jeffrey prove that history doesn't always repeat itself, and blood is thicker than water.
