It is understandable that in some situations we believe we are facing challenges and do not know what to do. Until now, the motto was: "Those who do not know what to do, form a WORKING GROUP " You will know this phrase that makes an experience come alive. But if I do NOT know what to do today, then I let a GRAPHIC light up in front of my inner eye and then usually quickly find the next solution step. This GRAPHIC, which contains SYMBOLS for thought steps and procedures, is the result of experiences in the facilitation of interdisciplinary teams over many years. I have called this type of graphic ThinkingDesigner. In the book you will get to know my ThinkingDesigners. With my TDs, as I call them, I differentiate myself from Design Thinking. With the latter, the design, the draft comes first. My ThinkingDesigners, on the other hand, put Thinking in first place, the desire to design, shape and develop thinking. With the TDs you can extend your previous approach to thinking. You can achieve this with my "Thinking Step Icons", with pictures that symbolize thinking and process steps. Once you have stored the geometric arrangement of the images in the TDs and their meanings and contents on your bio hard drive, you will be able to use the TDs like "sheets of music" or like a "keyboard". But they could also remind you of the cockpit of an airplane. You recognize the symbols in front of your inner eye, choose a symbol in your mind and then act. You will get to know a simple TD shape, which you can compare to the cockpit of a Cessna, but I will also introduce you to a comprehensive ThinkingDesigner, the TD-XLarge. My new book is designed as an INTENSIVE TRAINING course for STRUCTURED and CREATIVE thinking (DE-edition and US-edition are almost identical on each book-page, a relief and facilitation for corporate trainers). It is a mixture of PSYCHOLOGY, PHILOSOPHY, and pragmatic THINKING. Since in this special edition there are no colors you may come up with the idea of downloading the e-book with colors to your smartphone to have the ThinkingDesigner images quickly available. However, the LEARNING PROCESS will initially be very tedious and laborious and will challenge your PATIENCE and CONCENTRATION (mainly in chapters 9 to 13). But what at first feels like a BENDING of your gray cells will gradually become easier for you, and you will not want to miss this other - and at first unfamiliar - way of thinking later.
