What's eclampsia? What's eclampsia?Eclampsia is one of the most dreaded complications of severe pre-eclampsia (or toxaemia in pregnancy). It affects about 1% of women with preeclampsia and can occur at different times: after the 20th week of pregnancy, during labour or up to 7 days after birth. Fortunately, with regular monitoring of the pregnancy and early management of toxaemia, this dreaded complication is rare. Clarification in a few points.
