THE MERGER OF SARAH AND MACE
This is a novella based on the full length novel entitled 'The Croft Ranch', also written by Bob Evanston and unlike 'The Croft Ranch', it deals only with the story of Sarah and Mace.

As with 'The Croft Ranch', our story begins on a remote ranch in northern Wyoming, where a man carrying an enormous emotional burden, along with a worn duffel bag, arrives to help a widow struggling, not only with her own severe emotional problems, but with shutting down her cattle ranch, after the round up and the sale of the herd. The man is also hiding a terrible secret, and the last thing he wants is to disclose that to the lady, as it involves her. The round up and sale all goes very well, and then the man's painful secret is revealed during a very stressful encounter with the lady, as he tries to leave. In spite of that, they fall in love, and she decides to sell the ranch. Before they sell her ranch, and take early retirement, they hit the road, and have an amazing adventure, driving to Shiprock, New Mexico, where they watch the most stunning sunrise on Earth, then west to the Red Rocks of Monument Valley, then back to New Mexico, where they explore much of that spectacular State, before exploring many other States. They then return home to Wyoming, to enjoy the rest of their lives, as new grandparents.
