Greece is a country that despite of its actual economic problems did experience an increase of its economy. This is probably thanks to the accession to the Eurozone. Greece entered in the Eurozone on January 2001 and it has provided the country of monetary stability. Greece depends of borrowings, so its growth rates could not be sustain in a long term. In consequence, the deficiencies in the country's competitiveness were masked.
